How long does cabinet restaining take?
Most kitchens take a single day: we arrive around 8 AM and we're out of the house by dinner. If your kitchen is unusually large, we'll tell you at the estimate.
How much does it cost?
$95 per door or drawer, with a $3,000 minimum. Your exact price is confirmed during a free, no-obligation in-home estimate.
Do I need new cabinets?
If your cabinets are structurally sound, no. We restain and refinish the cabinets you already have, with no demolition and no replacement.
How is restaining different from painting?
Restaining changes the wood's color but keeps the grain visible. Paint covers the wood completely and usually takes 3–5 days to dry. Our Lightspeed® UV topcoat cures in seconds, so the whole job fits in one day.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes. Every job comes with a 5-year warranty. It covers peeling, chipping and significant premature fading caused by our application or the Lightspeed® Nano curing process. It doesn't cover normal wear and tear, intentional damage, water damage (for example near sinks), or damage from ammonia- or bleach-based cleaners. To protect the finish, avoid abrasive cleaners, wax-based products and harsh chemicals.
Who does the work?
Rough Trade Solutions LLC owns and operates the N-Hance of The Woodlands franchise, part of a nationwide, leading cabinet makeover franchise system. Every job is done by our trained N-Hance team, using N-Hance products and the Lightspeed® UV process, and is backed by the same 5-year warranty. nhance.com/thewoodlands
Can I go lighter, or only darker?
We can go the same or a darker color.
When can I use my kitchen again?
Usually the same day. If your kitchen is larger than usual it may take a second day. If so, we'll plan the work with you so you can still use your kitchen at the end of day one.
Do I need to empty my cabinets beforehand?
Only the drawer boxes.
Can I stay home while you work?
Yes. You're welcome to stay home while we work.
Do you also do bathroom vanities, doors, trim or other wood?
Yes. Besides kitchen cabinets, we restain and refinish bathroom vanities, doors, trim and other wood surfaces.
How soon can you start?
That depends on your project. Tell us what you need and we'll give you a start date at your free estimate.
Do you offer financing, and how does payment work?
Yes. We offer financing through our third-party partner wisetack.com. They pay us, and you pay them an agreed monthly amount. We also accept mobile payment, cash, check and credit card (a card fee applies).
